I have the release version of Windows 8 and the release version of Office 2013 from MSDN. I removed my Office 2010 and started the Office 2013 32/64 bit install. It hung for hours at about 20%. I repeated this several times, 20% each time.

I then downloaded the 64 bit only version (both ISO). I mount these ISO using the Windows 8 context 'Mount'.
